Around the world without a fail
The Devil holds a class each day
His scholars’ graduate in jail
Or in some prison o’re the way

His class rooms they are anywhere
He studies nature and its law
Home of the poor or millionaire
Or in some gully, slum or draw.

Perhaps some wire or pipe or dome
In bloody fight or ugly scene
The devil comes into the home
By television or machine.

The Devil has his teachers too
And they are many sad to say
They smoke and drink and curse and chew,
For only Devils they obey;

The Imps of Satan have their brew
Tobacco, liquor, rum and dope
He educates his children too
To sit in idleness and mope.

Inventions did I hear you say?
They’re wonderful in Satans way
Where are the Abrahams I pray
To say to children, you obey.

Where are the Sarahs by his side
To help enforce his will
Where are the children that abide
That speaking conscience lone and still?
